In Macgregors poultry marketplace (mainly Ontario, Canada) there are few foodservice purveyors that operate poultry operations under the federal inspection of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. We do! Our poultry product and operations are inspected for food safety (HACCP) and meet both Canadian and international requirements. Plain and simple, provincially inspected meat and/or poultry operations are not HACCP approved - some will say they are HACCP certified or accredited - but please, don't be fooled - a HACCP approved meat plant is recognized under a FEDERALLY approved food safety program. If a meat plant isn't federally inspected under the responsibility of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency it simply CAN'T be HACCP approved.

Why are we so passionate about being federally inspected at Macgregors? It is our opinion, specifically, that federally inspected/HACCP approved poultry operations and provincially inspected poultry operations are not doing business on a level playing field.
