Macgregors is the only company in Toronto importing Petuna's Tasmanian "Ant" Arctic Saltwater Char. Petuna's world-renowned quality control reaches from every Charr egg all the way to the mature and harvested Charr arriving at our customer's door. Much of the domestic reared Charr is farmed in fresh water, with some growers introducing saltwater to grow-out cages to create a brackish mix to enhance flavour. Petuna Saltwater Charr is raised on the edge of the world heritage area in Western Tasmania.
